    Airwolf | A-Team | CSI | Knight Rider | The Sentinel | Zorro

    Airwolf

One of those guilty pleasure 80s shows, Airwolf is probably my favorite Bellisario tv series. I loved the relationships, unique personalities, Hawke's angsty (before I even knew the word!) back story, and, of course, the dangerous black helicopter (the Lady) herself. I've never been in any helicopter and would probably get airsick if I did, but the part of me that likes speed and high excitement has always gotten a vicarious thrill out of those 'copter battles. ~grin~

All stories by Rachel500 found at the Airwolf fanfiction.net section. I've had a hard time finding readable fanfic for this series and I stumbled upon her stories recently and devoured the 35-series story set between 3rd and 4th season and then beyond rather rapidly. Great writing.

    A-Team

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I've started reading fanfic for this show. Although I grew up watching it, I must say it's a fairly fluffy little thing. However, I've been catching reruns on a local channel lately and remembering how entertaining it can be. Dwight Schultz as Howling Mad Murdock is not something to be missed. I think Murdock and Face are my favorites...which is probably why my fanfic likes lean towards them. And, of course, yes, my choices are angsty as always -- the show itself may be fluffy, but the fic...oh my, how very *not* fluffy. I lean towards Face&Murdock friendship fic and then Face&Hannibal friendship/father&son fic. You gotta know there is *so* much potential for angst for these characters.

Beneath the Pale Moonlight by Terri Spencer -- Face stuggles to survive after a run in with Kyle. And the team race against time to find him. Found at the A-Team Virtual Asylum Fanfic Archive.

Break-in In Belmont by Tee -- This story takes place just a few months after getting back from Nam, and Face is learning his trade. Rec'd to me by another TAT fan; I'd read this one sometime ago and forgot how much I enjoyed it. Also by this author, see Delta Base and New Beginnings. Found at the A-Team Virtual Asylum Fanfic Archive.

The Darkness and the Light by Amanda -- Murdock in a VA hospital. Found at the A-Team Fanfic Archive.

Friends by Nighthawk -- Murdock's past comes back to haunt him as his three friends help him recover from the death of a young woman with AIDS. Found at Nighthawk's page.

I Am Become Death by Nicole Wilson -- The A-Team is hired by the CIA to find a missing suitcase of plutonium. They travel to a survivalist enclave in western Pennsylvania to retrieve it, accompanied by Dr. Goldman, a nuclear weapons expert. As a result of this mission, new information comes to light regarding Murdock's involvement with the CIA as a young man and the long-term effects upon his mental health. Very nice team story, set prior to the beginning of the series. There's supposed be a sequel coming; I certainly hope it comes soon. Found at the A-Team Virtual Asylum Fanfic Archive.

In Darkness by Vicki Gill -- A "Murdock story" inspired by Amanda's The Darkness and the Light. Found at the A-Team Fanfic Archive.

May Angels Lead You In by Mer -- Some sad news leads to revelations and understanding. Face-angst. Found at the A-Team Virtual Asylum Fanfic Archive.

Personal by ajaron -- WIP. Face h/c story. Rec'd to me by another TAT fan. I'm enjoying the back and forth time-wise of the story and look forward to finding out what's going on. Found at the A-Team fanfiction.net section.

Pitch Black by JD Sampson -- Murdock-focused story with an emphasis in h/c and Face/Murdock friendship. Intense, dark, but very excellent. Rated R. Found at the A-Team Virtual Asylum Fanfic Archive.

Scars by Reckless -- Face is shot during a hostage crisis, but that is only the beginning of his odyssey. What happens to a fugitive-turned-hero when the army demands blood and the team can do nothing to save him? Found at the A-Team Virtual Asylum Fanfic Archive.

The Vietnam Chronicles by i'mpeckable and Avatar2 -- A series of stories set in the Vietnam era with the Team just coming together. Great stories. Found at the A-Team fanfiction.net section. Series thus far -- 1: Overture; 2: Winged Winds of War; 3: The Patron Saint of Con Men; 4: Tenants of the Sky; 5: Vapours, Clouds, and Storms; 6: Shadows of Cloudy Storms; 7: Smoke and Mirrors; 8: Rabbit Holes & Flying Machines.

The Walking Wounded by Reckless -- The team, particularly Face and Murdock, struggle to recover from the POW camp while stationed at Cam Ranh Bay. Intense and amusing both. Rated R. Found at the A-Team Virtual Asylum Fanfic Archive.

    CSI
    (last updated 6/5/07)

I've seen a handful of episodes of this series here and there over the years, but not being scifi meant it didn't really attract my attention for long. However, recently I've started watching this in reruns on SpikeTV in the early evenings. Plus I kept hearing about season five's finale and wanted to see that as well. The characters have grown on me, if not the ooky stuff which I have to look away from most times. So, naturally, I've gone hunting for fics...and then proceeded to 'ship Grissom and Sara (aka GSR)...which sadly has ended now since Jorja has left. Though at least Sara wasn't killed off and the possibility was left open that she could return...

    Site: GrissomSaraRomance site

B is for Bleach by TenderWild -- It is raining, and all she can think of is the things she can't say. GSR; post-Living Doll (season 7 finale). Argh. Angsty and very poetical. I imagine I'll be reading a lot of epilogues/continuations for this episode for awhile. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

Call Me But Love by Lasrevinu -- GSR; post-The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp (season 8). One-shot dealing with a particular GSR scene in this episode. Perfect for them and I adored the ending. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

Dark Days by Kristen999 -- Detachment from a case is a necessity. Obsession, however, can be an unavoidable evil. Nick battles his demons during a case of a murdered child. Nick-centric. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

Everybody Does It by Joan Powers -- Post-The Good, the Bad and the Dominatrix (season 7). Grissom and Catherine have different opinions about temptation and the nature of relationships. Implied GSR. Short and good; also demonstrates one reason I dislike Catherine -- she's too cynical for my tastes. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

Geek Love Clues by ParadoxicalOne -- GSR; WIP. A collage of snippets detailing clues of Grissom & Sara’s relationship that the rest of the team are left to interpret. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

Hello, Goodbye by Kristen Elizabeth -- GSR; post-Leaving Las Vegas (season 7). Everything else we'll play by ear. Good start. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

Horizon by VR Trakowski -- GSR; WIP; post-Living Doll (season 7 finale). Good thus far. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

One Grissom, Many Voices by Summer Reign -- GSR; epilogue to Fallen Idols (season 7). It's all about listening. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

Paraphrasing by CountryGirl914 -- GSR; post-Leapin' Lizards (season 7). It was amazing how Sara could take what he said and put it in simpler, more succinct terms. Short and sweet. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

Someone Else's Star by Kristen Elizabeth -- GSR. Nothing, of course, begins at the time you think it did. Angsty romance -- definitely my thing. FFound at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

You're Not Fooling Anyone by Tayeatra -- Post-Leaving Las Vegas; pre-Keppler (season 7). It doesn't matter how many times she says it. Sara is clearly not fine. Short but nice Sara-character piece from Brass' POV. Found at the CSI fanfiction.net section.

    Knight Rider

Fanfic about a man and his car, sounds odd I know. I grew up with this show and on a whim one day I hunted around looking for fanfic and came across several pages of fanfic. Most of it is either focused on the action part (which isn't really why I read fanfic) or concentrates on original characters (also not my interest). There seem to be a *lot* of OC's in the KR fandom and very few appeal to me. However...

Soul Survivor by elfin -- This is one of the most absorbing stories I've ever read -- in any fandom. If you take a step of faith and want to read about a very unique relationship between Michael and KITT, then this is it. Found at the Knight Rider Phase Two website.

Fire and Ice series by Gryph -- Good series with an interesting take on Michael and Kitt's connection, one that I've noticed has been borrowed by many other authors in this fandom. My only complaint is there is sometimes more focus on Nick and Karr (Nick being one of the few OC's I actually like) rather than Michael and KITT. Found at FLAGNet.

Homecoming by Tomy -- Michael must deal with the repercussions of his family learning of his new life. Great fic full of warm fuzzy moments between KITT and Michael, as well as some good drama. Found at the Knight Rider fanfiction.net section.

A Knight's Ransom by knightshade -- Probably the best story by her Found at her site at Knightshade's Garden.

Another good KR writer is Vega -- Her stories are found at her site or at her fanfiction.net listing.

    The Sentinel
    (last updated 1/31/06)

Ahhh...Jim and Blair. My primary fandom. The one that sucked me into the fanfic universe and got me writing. Lots of wonderful, wonderful stories here. I have so *many* favorites. The ones I list here are special for various reasons.

Favorite episodes (by season): (1) Siege, Vow of Silence; (2) Flight, Blind Man's Bluff, Dead Drop, Survival; (3) Warriors, Poachers; (4) The Real Deal.

The Accident by Shiloh -- Blair is injured in an automobile accident and Jim holds vigil by his bedside. This is one of the first smarmy (or warm fuzzy, if you prefer) fics that I read. I think it's still near the top of my favorite warm fuzzy moments. (This story is no longer available unfortunately.)

Baptism By Fire by JET -- Blair survived the fountain, Alex is in custody, and Jim must deal with the fallout. Epilogue to Sentinel Too, part 2. A very lovely angsty/warm fuzzy fic where Jim starts the process of healing the gap between he and Blair. Found at JET's Jungle.

Beautiful by Carolyn Claire -- Is there a future for Jim and Carolyn? (Jim/Carolyn romance) The Jim/Carolyn friendship/romance is a favorite sub-genre of mine. Unforunately there are very few well-written stories of this type available. Most authors tend to make Carolyn the "bad guy." I don't see her as such and am always thrilled to find a story where she is written otherwise. *This* story is exactly as the title says: beautiful. A gorgeous work that struck an immediate chord with me. I loved it. Especially the last line. Aw! Found at Carolyn Claire's Sentinel Fanfiction.

Bugged by Besterette -- The Sentinel of the Great City versus a cricket. Great, great humor. Found at Besterette's Basement.

Closet Monsters by Iris Wilde -- Every monster has a mommy. Meet Ellen Lash, mother of Cascade's most infamous psychopath, who believes her son is alive and well -- within the body of one long-haired anthropologist. My favorite story by one of my favorite authors (who needs to write more ~grin~). This is one of those stories I go back quite often, if only to reread favorite scenes, like the hospital scene (aww!) or the humorous moments ("Rushmore" ~snerk~). Found at Iris Wilde's Page. (Actually, go read everything by Iris!)

Coming Up for Air series by Delilah -- An AU Blair tells of finding a Sentinel a little too late. Blair's an observer with the Cascade PD. Jim is … well … not the Jim you know. Excellently written in first-person POV. Found at Delilah's Den.

Companion to Our Demons by Holly Lyn -- An old enemy is on the loose and wrecking havoc. Set during first season. One of my early favorites written during the dawn of Sentinel fanficdom. :-) Found at Simply Sentinel.

Counting in Fives by Shelly -- Checking in on Blair's life every five years. A very sweet story with a sweet Blair. Definitely one I like to read again and again. The author admits to not having Naomi right, but I still love it. Found at Mackie's Idol Pursuits.

Cypher Missing Scene by Michalina -- One of the first missing scenes I read and for an episode I hadn't even seen yet. ~grin~ It'll always be one of my favorites. (This story is no longer available unfortunately.)

Driver's Ed by Sis -- A Sentinel with one of Detroit's most powerful vehicles at the mercy of one of those annoying, unreasonable speed limits, and a nagging partner. Wonderful humorous look at Jim's driving record. ~snerk~ Found at Any Road.

Everywhere, Like Footprints by Shelly -- A missing scene from Sentinel Too, Part 1. Set before we knew whether there would be a part 2, this is a story where Blair is okay and in the hospital. However, the story is actually about Simon and his memories of Jim and Blair pre-Alex. A wonderful story. Found at Mackie's Idol Pursuits.

Families by Sheila Paulson -- A terrorist threatens an economic summit, while a wealthy woman offers Blair a proposition that may turn his life upside down and sever his ties with Jim. One of the first zines I purchased was this story and my favorite by this author. I was so happy to see it released to the 'net so I could recommend it here. A very great read. Found at Cascade Library.

Firing Range by Tate -- Jim finds Blair testing his ability to fire a gun at the firing range. This is the fic I used to truly suck Robyn into the fandom. ~grin~ She made me keep in my email inbox so she could read it every time my computer was on. I've pondered writing a scene like this, but I don't know if I could ever do the scene as well as this. Found at Mackie's Idol Pursuits.

Full Circle by TAE -- Science Fiction AU. Now that cloning is a reality, what's to stop the government from gene-splicing to create the perfect soldier? But, how do you find the gene that creates loyalty? My favorite by TAE. AU's are a particular favorite of mine (if you haven't noticed) and this one is especially well written with a more vulnerable Jim than we're used to. I would've liked to seen more stories in this particular universe... Found at TAE's Serendipity Station.

GDP series by Susan Foster -- AU. A huge *huge* favorite series of mine. The author has done things I wish I could and has created an entire universe that is very enthralling (at least to me). I eagerly await each new story and reread older stories quite often. **This is mostly for the main series; the more recent stories aren't as good (IMO) and the Dark Guide subseries is becoming something uncomfortably close to slash fic.** Found at Susan Foster's Sentinel Fan Fiction Site.

In the Beginning by CiceroCat -- AU. Yes, again with the alternate universe. ~grin~ CC is a new writer, and this is one of her first stories, and is labeled as the first in the 'Bright New Future series'. I certainly hope so, as I want to see more! Somewhat like the Susan Foster's GDP series, but not quite, it's a different look at the sentinel/guide relationship. What can I say? I'm an addict of these types of stories. One of these days, I may have to sit down and write my own version of this kind of vision. ~grin~ (This story is no longer available unfortunately.)

In the Wrong Place by Paula -- Daryl Banks witnesses a murder and races to Blair for help. Both are threatened when the killers hunt them down to tie up loose ends. My favorite by Paula. It has the intrigue, the drama, the h/c, the warm fuzzies (including one of my very favorite comfort scenes in the fandom total!), the characterization, it's got it all. Found at Wolfpup's Den.

Inverse series by Brook Henson -- AU. It had been nearly three years since the funeral, but even faced with their staggering impossibility, Blair could never mistake those eyes... Yes, more AU. These stories paint an interesting (if way too scant!) picture, one I'm very intrigued by and hope that the author continues to explore. Vulnerable Jim...yes, a weakness of mine. Found at Brook's Nook.

Justifiable Means by Kim Heggen -- An unusual murder case brings up unpleasant memories from Blair's childhood, and he becomes instrumental in finding the killer. Her first story and still my favorite of hers. She handles first-person POV extremely well. Originally posted in parts, this story kept my attention from beginning to end. Found at Kim Heggen's Fiction Page.

Lost by Gabrielle Bessey -- Losing a loved one is hard on everyone. Warning: DEATH Story! Yes, a death story. Not something I typically go for in the slightest. But this one...this one was good, believe it or not. Found at Cascade Library.

Mail Bonding by Shelly -- The boys communicate. The title is a pun, yes, but the story is not to be missed. Sweet and funny and touching. Found at Mackie's Idol Pursuits.

Mark of the Beast by Donna Gentry -- AU. What if Blair had found another Sentinel before he met Jim? Good AU's always get my attention and this one is no different. Excellent. I've love to see a sequel. Found at Ysone's Fanfiction and Stuff.

Moonglow Series by Ann Brown -- A wonderfully, beautifully, touchingly written series of stories, heavy on character and definitely heavy on smarm/warm fuzzies. A gorgeous interpretation of the friendship and brotherhood between Jim and Blair. One of my most favorite series and truly "pinnacle" writing. Sadly, the author's page went down and she elected to leave it down, thus removing the possibilty for others to read and experience these stories, or at the very least let those who *had* read them save them for future reading. A great loss. I keep hoping that someday she will change her mind, if only for a little while. (These stories are no longer available unfortunately.)

The Purloined Pair of Underwear by Robyn -- The black silk boxers are missing, and Jim thinks he knows whodunit. Or does he? A hugely hysterical take (actually several!) on Jim hunting down a special piece of clothing, with guest appearances by Robyn's created characters, Mrs. MacKenzie and Mrs. Danbush. Not to be missed.

Remember This by Shiloh -- Epilogue to Sentinel Too, Part 1. Months have passed since Blair's drowning, and he and Jim are closer than ever. But even that new closeness can't prevent the nightmares that still come to Blair. Jim, helpless to stop the nightmares, strives to give Blair something positive and comforting to use as a defense against the tormenting dreams. A very, very sweet story about friendship that makes my chest clench up every time. (This story is no longer available unfortunately.)

Restored by XmagicalX -- Nothing can separate a Sentinel and Guide forever, neither force, nor time, nor fear. Two sides of a soul will always find their way to reunion. Xmag is the Queen of Angst. ~grin~ This story and its sequel, 'Protected', are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful tales of a reunion after a separation of seven years. Found at XmagicalX's Fan Page.

Roachia series by Cindy Combs -- AU. During a losing war on an alien planet, an untrained sentinel hopes that an injured young man will help unlock his talents to save their colony. And another AU, one that is very involving and brings in characters not only from TS, but from several other shows as well, creating a tale well worth reading. Found at Wolfpup's Den.

The Sentinel: Men in Green Tights by Robyn -- Christmas humor piece: the gang gets an unusual assignment. Since good, rolling-on-the-floor-laughing TS stories are hard to come by (in my estimation) this story is a treasure. And a hoot. Put away all comestibles and prepare to fall off your chair.

Sparrowhawk Sandburg series by Besterette -- While I typically don't read stories with OC's, this series is an exception. Sparrowhawk (aka Beau) is Blair's sister and a permanent romantic interest for Jim -- both earmarks of being a MarySue, but for me, she doesn't seem that way. I like her humor and she's a good foil for Jim. Very entertaining. Found at Besterette's Basement.

Three to Tango by Robyn -- Megan needs to learn a new dance and Jim finds himself obliging with a live demonstration -- in the bullpen. Another humor tale that has me giggling every time I read it.

Time Gate Series by Fidus Amicus -- AU. In a future world where guides are owned by sentinels, the small but fierce Freedom group is fighting the Confederate for equality. Their plan is to send a sentinel and guide team back in time to change the outcome of the war. I'm a huge fan of AUs and although I haven't read much of any TS fic lately, the description of this new series intrigued me enough that I read the first installment. Very good and except for one minor negative (on account of my own personal preferences), I very much enjoyed it. Found at Wolfpup's Den.

    Zorro (Family Channel version)
    (last updated 1/28/08)

Ah...more heroes... :-) I loved this early 90s series starring a very dashing Duncan Regehr. Swordfighting, romance (with Victoria), buddy stuff (with Felipe), humor, adventure, all the good stuff rolled up together. I've been wanting to get this series on tape for quite some time and finally managed to purchase a set from ebay and am enjoying rewatching episodes I've seen and discovering those I missed the first time around. And, of course, I've been hunting down fanfic. I have a few digest-sized zines for this series that I bought years ago, but other than that I really hadn't looked for fic until recently. Sadly there's not much out there. Maybe I should write some of my own.

Favorite episodes (by season): (1) The Legend Begins, Honor Thy Father; (2) Master & Pupil, Broken Heart Broken Mask, It's a Wonderful Zorro, The Devil's Fortress; (3) A New Lease on Love, Wicked Wicked Zorro, One Special Night; (4) An Affair to Remember, The Conspiracy of Blood.

Sites: The Fox's Den ~ De la Vega Library ~ Zorro fanfiction.net section
Authors: leiasky ~ Linda Binder ~ Pam

Pam has a lovely series of eleven stories that picks up where the series left off and continues forward with the characters' lives, giving them the resolutions they deserved. Her site is here. Favorites: Time Heals All Wounds, The Birds and the Bees, and The Legend Unmasked.

All the King's Horses by Probeda -- The alcalde remains silent as a tide of lawlessness threatens Los Angeles. Zorro rides to meet it, but will the cost be higher than Diego can pay? Excellent fic. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section.

Amor Fati by Robin/Icyfire -- AU. What if Diego had been the child taken by Ynez Resendo? Would Gilberto be the Zorro that Diego had been? Would Diego be the Emissary that Gilberto was? And what about Victoria? How would she feel? My love of AUs even shows up here. Very intriguing. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section or at the De la Vega Library.

Angustia Del Amante by Robin/Icyfire -- Victoria has announced that she no longer loves Zorro. Diego is heartbroken, but is all as it seems? Lovely long story. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section or at the De la Vega Library.

Born of the Heart by Wendy -- An evil from the past returns to take its toll on the de la Vega family. Nice little h/c buddy fic between Diego/Zorro and Felipe. Found at the Felipe Fanfiction Page.

Broken Mask by Tammy -- Victoria notices a birthmark on an injured Zorro's leg similar to the one of a dear family friend. An "identity revealed" fic. Found at The Fox's Den.

Courtship by Linda Vogt Binder -- Victoria is forced to marry Diego when Alcalde DeSoto attempts to seize control of the tavern. What will happen to Diego, and Victoria without Zorro? Originally a fanzine story in Zorro: The Legend Continues II. Wonderful romantic story using the "marriage for safety" theme that's very well-written. Great author with lots and lots of lovely fic to read. Found at her site.

A Father's Love by smithcrafter -- When Alejandro, Victoria, and Diego are held prisoner and Diego is badly injured, Alejandro finds himself reflecting on his relationship with his son, and realizing some surprising things about Diego. Angsty, tragic, and very good. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section.

The Festival, the Saint, and the Gift by Tammy -- A Valentines Day celebration turns Victoria's eyes toward Diego. The gift Zorro gives her is taken by the alcalde and the man becomes determined to track down the originator of such an original piece of jewelry. My favorite by this author. Found at the De la Vega Library.

Fox Tales series by Ruth -- Lovely little series of 19 short "half-hour" stories that take place after the end of the series to wrap up loose ends. Written in a style that is similiar to the series itself. Found at her site.

In the Event of My Death by KarenZ -- Diego is believed to be dead. Felipe delivers letters to his father and Victoria explaining everything. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section.

In the Line of Fire by leiasky -- Diego takes a shot meant for Victoria and she must come to grips with a startling revelation. Post-The Conspiracy of Blood. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section or at her Zorro site.

The Mark of the Sire by Susan O'Brien -- Very well-written tale focusing on Toronado. Found at The Fox's Den or at leiasky's other authors page.

The Pen is Mightier than the Sword by Tammy -- A Book arrives in the pueblo with more information about Zorro then anyone had realized, causing a new plan to form in the alcalde's twisted mind and a new way to capture Zorro. Found at The Fox's Den.

Set on a Course by Ruth -- A novellette that tells of Zorro's second adventure in Los Angeles and the beginning of his romance with Victoria. Nicely written. Found at her site.

Shattered Dreams by leiasky -- Zorro takes Victoria for a midnight ride and secrets are revealed when her blood is spilled. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section or at her Zorro site.

Surrender to Love by Amy Ponders -- Very good tale with a well-written and sensitive take on a reason for Diego and Victoria to get married. Found at Amy's LiveJournal site.

Waiting for You by leiasky -- Diego reveals his secret in an unexpected manner and the shock of the revelation causes an unexpected turn of events. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section or at her Zorro site.

A Wounded Fox by icyfire -- Diego is dragging around the pueblo like a dead man, and Zorro is acting like he wants to become one. Will Alejandro, Victoria, and Felipe be able to help? Great little tale with angst and healing. And near the end, it has one of my very favorite Zorro & Alejandro moments in all the fic I've read. Found at the Zorro fanfiction.net section.or at the De la Vega Library.
