    Batman Begins
    (last updated 6/17/07)

Considering my love of Batman, it's no surprise I started looking up Batman Begins fanfic. Surprisingly, I've actually found some worth reading at the Batman Begins fanfiction.net section.

Facing Fears by kayim -- Movieverse. Young Bruce runs away to Metropolis a few months after his parent's deaths and meets Clark, who is visiting the city for the first time with his parents. A good bit of Martha and Jonathan interaction with a happy Alfred reunion. Nicely written.

Inherited Business by Jedi Buttercup -- Crossover between post-Batman Begins and post-"Chosen"-Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. Bruce Wayne oversees new construction at the mansion. Came across this one while reading some Buffy recs. Interesting. Found at the Buffy crossover fanfiction.net section.

    Philippa's post-Batman Begins series

    • The Nestling -- Bruce’s life grows even more complicated when Wayne Manor receives a new inhabitant…Dick Grayson. The boy hides behind a wall of silence, scarred by his tragic past. But Batman is going to teach this crippled bird how to fly. Very nice and I must admit I had the same thought as the author regarding a certain child in the movie. Also, a *much* better way to introduce Dick into the movie mythos than the ... earlier movies. Found at the Batman Begins fanfiction.net section.
    • Toward a Dark Horizon -- Sequel to The Nestling. When Bruce's custody of Richard Grayson is challenged, he finds himself in a deadly race to discover the truth about his young ward...before Gotham goes up in flames. Excellent sequel. I look forward to more tales by this author. Found at the Batman Begins fanfiction.net section.
    • Monkey See, Monkey Do -- Sequel to The Nestling and Toward a Dark Horizon. Richard Grayson: Boy Wonder, Super Sidekick. Or he would be, if Bruce Wayne would stop telling him to do his homework and let him start saving the world. Oooh, a third tale in this arc. Found at the Batman Begins fanfiction.net section.
    • Night Falling --- WIP; sequel to Monkey See, Monkey Do. Richard goes undercover at an exclusive private school to track down a vicious killer, while Bruce finds himself increasingly entangled with the alluring Selina Kyle. Although a bit jarring to jump ahead by just over two years, I'll probably still enjoy it. Found at the Batman Begins fanfiction.net section.

    Superman Returns
    (last updated 7/27/07)

I absolutely loved this movie and have decided to once again look for fics dealing with during- or post-movie issues.

Déjà Vu by htbthomas -- Lois slowly remembers details about the time that was erased. When she remembers it all, how will she react? Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

Everything Light and Good by LostNSpace -- Armed with an interview assignment, a reluctant Lois finds herself truly alone with Superman for the first time since he discovered the bittersweet secret they share. Lovely and terribly angsty. Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

Father, Who Art in Heaven by Imadra Blue -- There are as many things Superman and Richard White have in common as not. One night, Clark gets to know Richard and learns about their similarities. *Very* nice and one of the few fics I've read that treat Richard with dignity and keeps Clark's reaction to him in movie canon. Found at her LiveJournal.

I'm Always Around by QuirkyCapricorn -- Will Lex finally face justice for his attempts on Lois's and Superman's lives? Can Superman deal with his new life as just Clark? Will Lois finally admit Why The World Needs Superman? Interesting ending...I look forward to seeing what she does for the sequel. Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

The Little Things by Darth Stitch -- Five-year-old Jason White takes note of the little things, especially when it comes to Clark Kent and a certain Big Blue Boy Scout. Cute. *spoilers* See also the other stories in this Arc: The Little Things: Lois Lane, The Invisible Man, and Right Before Your Eyes (great story twist!). I want more in this series...though sadly none seem to be forthcoming. :-( Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

More Powerful by ChristyCat -- Superman has returned and the world rejoices. But what does it mean for Lois? Superman struggles to find his place in Lois' heart. Lex Luthor is still at large and his knowledge of Jason's identity makes him more dangerous than ever. Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

Noticing Things by ljp -- Jason White is an astute little boy. I must admit to liking the fact that Jason just might know certain...things. Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

The Return of a Friend by Djinn1 -- What the League, specifically Batman and Wonder Woman, were thinking/doing during the movie. Nicely written. *spoilers* Found at the DC Superheroes fanfiction.net section.

Shadows in Darkness by Shado Librarian -- A Superman Returns sequel. Returning to Earth is both easier and harder than Kal El thought it would be. Especially when an anti alien group is out to destroy Superman, and Richard turns out to be a friend. See also the two sequels: Spring Comes After Winter and When Summer Comes. Very good with great characterization and an intriguing plotline. One of the best SR sequels that I've read. And the *best* Richard I've read. A very interesting mix of SR and Lois&Clark background. Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

Sick Day by Sostenuto -- Jason’s unfortunate day leads to an unexpected meeting with his favorite superhero. Short, sweet little Superman & Jason piece. Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

Those Eyes by Tin Heart -- Richard had seen those eyes before... *Very* nice Richard-POV piece. Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

Unmasked by Nautica7mk -- Post-Superman Returns. Behind the hero is a man longing to be free. Nicely written. *spoilers* Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

    Batman Begins/Superman Returns crossovers
    (last updated 4/27/07)

Heroes by Kusco -- A take on a first meeting between the Batman Begins-verse Batman and the Superman Returns-verse Superman. Interesting. Wasn't sure how to categorize this since it doesn't have a focus on a particular character. Found at the Batman (comics) fanfiction.net section.

Visiting Hours by taro-twist -- Lois and Jason weren't the only ones who visited Superman while he was in the hospital. During Superman Returns. Listed as pre-slash, but is also gen/friendship. Found at her livejournal.

Worth the Cost by Sweet Anonymity -- Post-SR; crossover with Batman Begins. The citizens of Metropolis rally to their hero's aid when Superman is forced to count on them for help. But will it be enough? So far, it's fairly good. Found at the Superman (movies) fanfiction.net section.

    Lake House
    (last updated 6/29/09)

I love this movie. Partly because I adore Keanu and Sandra on-screen together and partly because I thought the movie was a gorgeously written romantic tale. My only quibble was that it ended just a bit too soon. As much as the final scene was the payoff of the whole movie and the kiss was just....indescribly sexy and romantic and just wow, I wanted to see an epilogue or something that showed them happy together a little longer. I have to yet to find any fanfic sufficient to satisfy this, but there are some out there that are good enough.

Look After You by Cassandra Mulder -- Post-movie. He feels like he's waited forever for this.

No Two Hearts by Cassandra Mulder -- Post-movie. She didn't know if she deserved such devotion.

    The Mummy series
    (last updated 4/30/09)

I never considered reading fanfic for The Mummy movie series until I came across a few recs at crack_van. Probably won't become something I go out of my way to find, but still...good fic since I love those movies.

A Long Night's Journey Into Cairo by Eve -- The trouble about riding off into the sunset is that sooner or later it gets dark. Found at The Mummy fanfiction.net section.

The Man for the Job by Jedi Buttercup -- Jonathan hadn't left Hamunaptra empty-handed, after all. Found at The Mummy fanfiction.net section.

Never Spellbound by a Starry Night by Eve -- Strange goings-on mar Rick and Evelyn's wedding preparations. Can they and Jonathan solve the mystery? Great tale with good characterizations. Found at The Mummy fanfiction.net section.

    Speed
    (last updated 6/29/09)

One of very favorite action movies that I think I have pretty much memorized - and still rewatch at least once a year. I never saw the second, so my preferred canon stops with the first one. Sadly (or perhaps obviously), not much in the way of fanfic out there.

Black Shades by traptrogue6 -- Post-movie. Jack and Annie attend the funeral service for Harry, a man who gave his life to save a city of strangers. Found at author's page at fanfiction.net.

Walk the Wire by anr -- Post-movie. Short, sharp angst, and bittersweet. Loved it. Found at The Obscure Fandom Fanfic Exchange.

    Transformers
    (last updated 12/31/09)

Though I never watched any of the cartoon versions of this since it was more of a "boy" genre, I did know what it was. So when the first movie came out, I wasn't sure I wanted to see it. Well, at least until I saw the trailer. Yowza! I haven't really delved into fic much since I know so very little of the actual Transformers mythology and background. So any fic here will be movie-verse.

Instability by Steelfeathers -- WIP; post-ROTF. On board the aircraft carrier returning to NEST headquarters, Sam has a slight mental breakdown. Still reading this (it's long!) but so far, I've been enjoying it. Found at Transfictions.net. or at the author's ffn page.
